What kind of personality did Ben Hogan have?
I've heard stories that it wasn't the greatest.|||He was a bit of a curmudgeon. He was the type if he liked you, you knew it, but if he didn't... you knew that, as well.
He wasn't very fond of putting, though he had everything from tee to green down to an art form.
He never called Arnold Palmer (the greatest golf personality of all time) by his first name- it was either Palmer or Boy.
His comeback to golf was the greatest of all time. He and his wife were hit head-on by a Greyhound bus... severely damaging his body. Still, he came back and won the US Open that same year. (Just to stoke the fire, Tiger Woods' "comeback" from a knee injury was hailed by the media and the uninitiated as the greatest of all time... but I think a torn ligament and hairline fractures doesn't stand up to a double-fractured pelvis, fractured collarbone, a broken ankle, a chipped rib and near-fatal blood clots. Plus, Hogan took less time from his injury and his return... AND he saved his wife's life on top of that!)|||Bring up his bio which is on the internet. Gives a great man a better story.
