How would Ben Hogan match up against todays tour if he used the same equipment as yonder year?

just curious im obsessed with hogan and classic golf but also the woods generation. would hogan compete and make his talent known even in todays golf world|||Hogan as you already know would more than stack up as a ball striker and mentally he couldn't be beaten. The scary thing would be that with the modern greens and short game equipment including the new putters his short game would be much better. They used to putt on some pretty slow and bumpy surfaces back in the Hogan Snead era and Ben was pretty dominant even with a less than stellar short game. So yes I think he'd be pretty much be the equal of to-days stars including Tiger if not still No.1.|||Hogan would be the leader, I think. He was absolutely consumed with golf to the point where he had almost no friends at all. He was married but he didn't have any kids. He lived in like an 18 room house but he never had any company over; ever. A completely introverted loner to say the least. He was almost killed in an automobile accident that set him back but he continued on; driven. I think he found the secret to a good swing and when he realized how simple it was had to force himself not to hang himself, in my opinion.|||He would be a better player because of the better equipment but everybody is using better equipment. He was such a pure ball striker though that he would benefit less than most from improved equipment. But the talent pool is deeper these days. Hogan would be very competitive in any era as any of the all time greats would have been.|||If Hogan used modern equipment he'd probably be one of the better players on Tour today. If he had to compete against today's players, on today's courses (which are as much as 1000 yards longer than they were 50 years ago) with antique equipment, he'd have no chance.|||He would be at the top if not on top. No one has ever had his practice regimen and he has Tiger Woods determination and mental state on the golf course.

I would take Hogan over Woods. And I say that being a huge fan of Woods.

Have you read the book: "The Match"?|||with all the new technology in todays golf equipment, i dont think he would be able to win. All the new clubs would make that ball go farther and with more distance than his older clubs
