Ben hogan golf clubs, what is the club marked E?

what does E mean|||It is the pitching wedge. Hogan calls this club the "Equalizer". |||It is the pitching wedge. Some say that is not an E at all, but a W for wedge. Others say it stems back to the days of the Hogan Edge model clubs. Regardless I owned a set for many years and the E is the pitching wedge.|||Yep, the pitching wedge it is, and depending on what model it is (Apex, Apex Plus, or Apex Edge), the loft will range from 46 - 48 degrees. But that's not strange in any way. Most manufacturers do this nowadays.|||It is the PW. Ben hogan is weird. But it is around 46-48 degrees.|||Equalizer Hogan's name for a wedge.
